Matching your freak is beautiful and all but what you really need is a boy who's infatuated with your freak. Down bad for your freak. Deeply intrigued by your freak. Eager to see more of your freak. Supportive of your freak. Gets bricked up witnessing your freak, even.
Devotion. ❤🔥
Sylus: *walks inside of a church, goes knees bent, hands praying* ...Dear Lord, if she's not the one for me... force her to be....
.. Bind her heart to mine, tie her soul to my own. If there's even the slightest chance that she's meant to be mine, then let every step she takes lead her closer to me, let every thought of hers drift my way. And if I must wait, if I must earn her heart, then grant me the strength to be patient, to be worthy. But don't let her slip from me. Not now, not ever. And if the stars themselves must be realigned, then let them shift in our favor, until the day she looks at me as though I’ve been hers all along."

Prologue
"Come to think of it, you never tell me about your family. "
"Oh, yea.. um.. " MC was tounge-tied upon the mention of her family. Her mind was a jumbled mess and running in full speed. She racked her memory, trying to remember if she truly never talk about her family. To her surprise, he was right.
It's not like she does not want to talk about it, but it have been a while since she met someone new. She had been focusing on her job when she was accepted as their staff. The work position that she got was still the same from her previous job, but now she needs to study about the new products. It's confusing, need a lot of concentration, observing and not to mention that she needs to level up her social skills in order to draw in potential customers.
Aside from the curt 'good morning's' and 'how are you's' from those who passes by her work station, MC did not talk much. She minds her own business and do all the things that she can by herself. She wants to talk and strikes a conversation with the other coworkers, but quickly finds it awkward as all of the staff was older than her. The large differences in age gap makes her cautious of her word choices, thus makes her giving up for trying to fit in. If they wants to talk to her, they'll come by themselves, she thought.
"MC? If you don't want to talk about it, it's fine. I understand." He said, frowning in concern.
"Ah, no. Sure, I'll tell you. Only if you tell me yours, after, at lunch?"
"Sure."
She smiled. MC excused herself to continue her work, and focused on the files she had been working on.
She knows very well that she should not be doing this. Her mind had been warning her not to trust him too much, given his pasts, but no, she ignored all of that. Some of the so called 'red flags' had been threatening to wave at her, when she got to know more about him. But of course, she ignored it, fearing that she judges him too fast.
'I should try to be more positive, what if he's not like what I thought? All this time I said that I will never judge other people, then what's the difference with him? It would be unfair if I didn't do the same for him,' she thought.
The creeping uneasiness that she had the first time she met him, was washed away little by little, with the time they spends in together. She forgot that her guts should not be pushed aside, but to be taken seriously. Her guts had always been right and she had been relying to make better decision on her life all this time. But somehow, when MC met him, she desperately tries to deny her guts. Even when she knows that it is the truth.
