It’s 12:00am and he’s at the Butcher of Baltimore mansion , Yk just strolling (cause some pest of sports won’t stop talking about old rumors). He comes across an old shabby bedroom we’re the windows and broken and the bed full of dust when he hears sobbing coming from somewhere,checking the whole room and coming up empty , he’s sure the noise was coming from this room. He tapped the walls and floors to check if there was a hidden door and still nothing. He was gonna walk out to check the next room when the sobbing became more apparent. Stilling he turns to what looks to be an old mirror that was about 2 heads taller than him in a corner . “Hello”? Andrew said. Well that’s stupid why would you say “hello” to smt you don’t even know is real or even safe. Oh well I’ve seen and felt worse. Going closer to the mirror ,at first it seemed to be a reflection of just himself , but slowly the mirror rippled into what seemed to be the room but fancier and had a fire going. In the corner of “that” room seemed to be a boy huddled in the corner . The boys shirt had a large rip on his right shoulder blade that seemed to have some type of dark brown stain and had some large bright blue eyes. Oh he had bright blue eyes. He’s looking this way? He can see me?

“Hey are you okay”? Andrew said after being down with thinking to much. “Can you see me”? Andrew says while touching the mirror glass.

………”yea…..who are you”? The boy says in a whisper.

Neil is there watching them from a corner and makes “noise” to try and scare these trespassers. Andrew isn’t fooled neither is Renee. Nicky and Kevin are shitting themselves, and run away. (I don’t know where I’m going with this… this isn’t even what I intended to write , I wanted to write smt along the lines of a runaway Neil “bumping” into two kids that got abandoned by their parents , he takes care of them , they become “family” and then he meets Andrew at a cat cafe and……mhm yea time skip cause I don’t know what to write after that but Andrew and Neil and the two kids move into an apartment together and live happily ever after….)

hey hold on a sec. we talk about what baltimore was like for kevin, neil, andrew, but can we talk about wymack for a second. Can we just.

the year before the twins and nicky signed at psu, two of wymack's foxes, ian and kirk, died in a car crash.

the next year, kevin day broke his hand and went to wymack, the only person he thought would keep him safe.

the year after that, seth gordon, the only surving member of wymack's original lineup, overdosed after he was so nearly clean, and it almost destroyed allison.

months later, andrew was attacked in columbia and committed to easthaven. aaron killed someone. andrew was gone and the others came back shattered.

then neil claims to go home for the holidays, they don't hear from him all of christmas break, and on new years, neil calls him and asks wymack to pick him up from the airport. he's there instantly and god, he looks half-dead. neil sees the 4 tattoo and tries to cut it off his face. all he can say is that he didn't sign to the ravens.

then there's the blood in the locker room. wymack can't push away the feeling that something's getting closer, something is coming to hurt his foxes and there's nothing he can do to stop it.

then. the game at binghamton. neil looks on edge but wymack doesn't ask what's wrong. neil and andrew are above his paygrade. then the riot. he can't see any of his kids in the crush. he finally pulls them all out, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight–

neil's gone. neil's gone and they can't find him. andrew can't find him. neil got taken by someone. what was that like for david wymack? did it feel too familiar? did he look at his kids and think not again, i didn't lose another one again. does it ever scare him. does it terrify him. when aaron came back from the police station in columbia, twenty four hours in holding and he couldn't look wymack in the eye, did he think what if i can't save these kids? when andrew was lying in a hospital bed, too drugged to react, did he think what if i can't give them their second chance? when neil grabbed that knife, when he fell to pieces on wymack's kitchen floor, when he came back to them in baltimore, bloody and broken, did wymack think why am i always too late?

Headcanon, Neil josten hates flies. When I say hate I mean he hates them with ever inch of his being and would personally create a torture device for the disgusting buggers. One time Andrew caught Neil banging on a trash bin systematically, watching as a fly goes in circles until it slowly descends to the ground twitching, and then it stops moving. Then when Neil removes the trash bin he takes a book and squishes it till it’s nothing.

Andrew doesn’t know weather to find it hot or weird.

The monsters having a sleepover:

Neil: “if the earth is a living organism than does that make us the Parasite or the bacteria?”

Nicky: “Male seahorse give birth does that make them the omega and the female seahorse an alpha in sea verse?”

Headcanon Neil josten will never run out of insults to spit at someone. He knows like 5 different languages, so if he runs out of curse words in one language he’ll switch to another and start all over when he’s chewing someone out. For any particular reason.

do you guys think that when neil got back home from cali he took andrew up to the roof where he sat watching him smoke and told him he put a hit out on a raven. and then andrew sat there in silence watching the sunset before asking "why?" and neil looked down fiddling with his own lit cigarette and said very quietly that this particular raven was jean's drake. do you think that andrew went very still and did not speak or smoke for such a long time that neil eventually looked up at him and was taken aback by how andrew was watching him very carefully. do you think that as andrew looked at neil he was so paralysed by the thought of jean going through that same abuse and neil putting an end to it without even thinking twice. do you think he realised his meter had officially broken and neil was so far past 100% and that he was really truly it for him

What if there was an AU were Neil and Nathaniel were twins and one of them stayed with their father while the other escaped with their mother and went with Stuart. Like imagine the angst…someone make an Au like this please or else you’ll get a shitty written one from me

I saw a video on TikTok showing two foxes fighting on a roof then later it showed the same foxes curling up on the roof under some branches cause it was raining stealing glances at one another , on opposite sides. It reminded me of Neil and Andrew

Headcanon Renee definitely knows how to knit/crochet . One night Renee is siting on the couch with her knitting needles and yarn cause she couldn’t sleep and thought why not make smt. Around 3am Neil comes around cause he also couldn’t sleep cause of nightmares and stood there with a glass of water just watching Renee. A couple minutes later Renee looks up and pats the space next to her in an invitation for Neil to come join , She teaches Neil how to knit . Know whenever Neil is bored, can’t sleep, he knits. Andrew always has some spare needles and yarn stashed away in his room also cause Renee did the same thing to him when he had nightmares.

Headcanon , Andrew and Aaron definitely vandalized things together whenever they have no source of entertainment. Sometimes Neil joins them just so he could annoy Kevin.
