I don't understand why it's been a trend lately to call the drawbridge the "Charizard Bridge", especially among the younger kids. I mean, if I squint hard enough I can see the vision, but... Charizard? Really? I think Reshiram would be a much better choice if you want a fire-breathing dragon, considering the fact that it's one of Unova's very own legendary PokΓ©mon, not the final evolution of a starter from Kanto. Honestly, I'm just disappointed that more people don't call it the "Swanna Bridge".
I think part of this comes from the recent trend of "Kantobsession" (as I like to call it) - so many people are just obsessed with the region and its dex, its food, its culture, the like. Nothing wrong with loving Kanto (it's the region that pioneered many of the inventions in the PokΓ©tech industry, after all) but I feel like nicknaming it after Charizard... it's a bit dismissive of its history, its purpose for being built, the PokΓ©mon that helped build it, no? I know the residents of Undella and Humilau would throw a fit if someone suggested nicknaming the Marine Tube the "Wailord Tube", though in their defense, the amount of Frillish and Jellicent in that area year-round more than outnumber the times a Wailord has been spotted in all of the 12 or so years that it's been open... Not the best example, honestly. But my point still stands.
TLDR; I'm just complaining about a nickname for a bridge, of all things. If you have any thoughts/responses to this, please feel free to share them! If you're a "Charizarder" I'm genuinely interested in hearing your opinion - why Charizard?
made this at 5am hope you enjoy. Absolutenutcase comics are a blessing to this earth
I made this sketch animatic in August for fun. I wanted to finish it, but I forgot about it
bro?
Hello and welcome to the Unova Bridges Enthusiast's blog! I created this blog as a space for all bridge enthusiasts to come together and blab about the engineering and different aspects of the bridges, show photos of the bridges, their paintings... even events happening on the bridges! (Organizations are welcome to reach out, some form of flyer or ad is greatly preferred.) However, that's not to say that train enthusiasts and vehicle enthusiasts aren't welcome here. Without bridges, we wouldn't have easy access to many parts of the region, and without trains and vehicles, we wouldn't have these wonderful bridges in the first place. Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoy!
A page by the bridge fans, for the bridge fans and general Unovan public. Sorry for ghetsisposting π’π’ππ
