I NEED AN OPINION REGARDING DRIFT

So I wanna start doing "redesigns" for some Transformers characters and see if I can start up my own Transformers Continuity. But I had this idea for Drift. AND I REALLY NEED AN ANSWER TO THIS.

Would it be rude and inappropriate to draw inspiration from Native American tribes' clothing and rituals?

So what I want to do is basically after Deadlock leaves the Decepticons he goes and finds a Native American tribe and learns of their culture. So he takes on the name Drifting Wind. And later when he becomes an Autobot he keeps the name but takes on the NICKNAME of Drift.

SO! Is that appropriate or is it not? Pls help.

I mainly trying to figure out Melone's wardrobe for this au, I do in fact want to keep his hair purple instead of making like blond and purple.

So as any Au I ever wanted to make, I want ya'll option and headcannons for it. I already kinda set the ground floor for it but the floor is extremely flexible so feel free to share.

All I have to ask is to keep it close to Melone's character so it just doesn't bleed into original character group since this is meant to be a Au
