When a Caucasian person gets offended that Columbus Day is changed to Indigenous Peoples day. Then they start posting about how they aren’t indigenous anywhere and what even is indigenous? Excuse me, you would be indigenous to Europe. Stop trying to make this about you and just be happy that you’re alive and well. Stop raining on other peoples’ parade.

Character concepts for a story of mine (which will probably stay inside my head). It's a human and their dog. The human doesn't have a name yet, but the dog's name is Day. They live in an apocalyptic world where heavy masses of dark, dark clouds have covered the sun (humans have at least some kind of light so they can survive, but it's pretty much night all the time), just trying to survive with the help of each other. I've been thinking that there would be a some kind of a gang who they're trying to escape from.
