explaining my mutant!felicia hc 🫶🫶

Felicia is a feral mutant, meaning she has atavistic mutations or animalistic traits (think Beast, Angel, Sabretooth, etc). These traits include:

Cat’s eyes - This is why she wears her signature blue contacts: not just to see in the electromagnetic spectrum, but also to hide her mutation and make her less easy to identify. She uses different ones in and out of costume for fashion purposes, but her true eye color is green in the same way a cat’s eyes are green, not a human’s. Because of this, her pupils reflect off of cctv cameras sometimes which can also make her hard to identify. Our first look at Felicia in the 1963 ASM run shows her with glowing eyes, which have only ever been adapted in the Spider-Man animation (and you all know how i feel about that 😒).

Pointed ears - The reason she keeps her hair down while fighting is to cover her ears, despite the fact this is pretty inconvenient. The upper cartilage is a lot thinner and more flexible than human ears, which means she’s cursed to only wear lobe piercings (something she’s definitely a little bitter about).

Fangs - this one is definitely self explanatory, but cats also only get 30 adult teeth, meaning that rather than a full set of fangs throughout her entire mouth, the only sharp teeth she has are her canines. Other than that, her teeth are the same as a human’s. Felicia is also extremely lactose intolerant, just like real cats. Luckily, this is the only food allergy she has due to her mutation.

Claws (obviously) - Because cat’s claws are attached to the knuckle, Felicia’s claws work in the same way. This means she can’t extender her claws out fully while her hand is in a relaxed position, instead she must flex a ligament in between her distal and medial finger bones. This becomes inconvenient after long periods of time, which is why she prefers to use traditional fighting techniques in combat and only use her claws when necessary. She also sheds the outer layers of her claws as they grow, which makes manicures easy as it eliminates the need for nail polish remover!

No rigid collar bone - Felicia’s collar bone, like most cat’s, is disconnected from other bones and instead connected by muscles. This grants her increased flexibility and allows her to squeeze into tight spaces. Perfect for a career criminal!

A tail - honestly this one varies for me, so sometimes I like it sometimes I don’t 🤥‼️ Cat’s use their tails as counterbalances for walking on narrow spaces and when running and jumping, as well as expressing emotions and communicating with other cats. I alwaya hc Felicia as having very expressive facial movements and body expressions so this one just feels like it fits her well.

White hair - this ones kind of just playing with what’s already there. We see Fel with her signature white hair in her flashbacks as a child in TETMD, so I think it makes sense that this is a trait that’s naturally occurring and a result of her mutation.

I also hc Felicia’s mutation as being a pretty big divide between her and Peter because while Felicia’s bad luck can be targeted, it also is affected by her emotions and her control of them. This could potentially put people who are in a high-stress situation with her in a lot of danger. Felicia feels she can control her powers just fine, but Peter feels she has a responsibility to find some way to keep them in check to avoid other people from getting caught in the crossfire.

Felicia being a mutant is also a big part of her friendship with Logan, as both of them are feral mutants who view themselves as bad but think they’re past redemption. As mutants aren’t exactly accepted in the marvel universe , Felicia keeps her mutation relatively hidden. She’s perfectly fine with people speculating what she is, and keeps her crew small to avoid people finding out. This can be isolating however, and she confides in Logan often as her only real mutant friend.

Felicia’s father, Walter (the first Black Cat) was a mutant without physical traits but had a much more subdued form of tychokinesis, which is where he got his name. As she inherited the X-gene from him, Felicia feels her mutation is the greatest gift her father ever gave her and is a lasting connection between the two of them following his death.

There are some cut scenes from TASM 2 that feature Felicity Jones as Felicia working for Harry Osborn! Unfortunately we never get to see her in costume but she still does a great job and I wish we got her as Fel in TASM 3 🥲

Felicia going to handle business in Europe for the week and leaving Peter alone with Ben and he just goes full blown helicopter parent. He makes a brand new high-def baby monitor, even though they already have a perfectly good one. He puts web bumpers on every sharp edge in the house. He throws out all of Felicia’s candles because they’re a fire hazard despite being unlit. He webs up any furniture that isn’t bolted in place so it can’t fall. Felicia comes back and the house is in shambles but Ben is clean, happy, and healthy and Peter looks proud so she says nothing.

I love when Peter asks Felicia 'What's wrong with you', because although I love her, I too want to know what's wrong with her lol

Black Cat is NOT better than MJ - An Insomniac Rant

Listen, I'll definitely make a post about how crappy a love interest Insomniac's version of MJ is for Peter Parker (and when made, I'll link it in THIS post). But there ain't no way in dog drool I am EVER going to say that Black Cat is better love interest for him. If anything, a part of me would like to argue she's a bit worse.

"Oh, I only like her/ship them as a joke---" Congratulations, you can leave the post because I'm obviously not talking about you :)

Maybe I'm off my rocker, but what about this DC Catwoman copycat screams wifey-material to you guys? Felicia has manipulated, lied to, and used Peter for her own advantage time after time with seemingly no remorse. And even if she supposedly did for one millisecond, she sure as heck doesn't atone for it. And even when she apologized for tricking him into helping her, it sure sounded un-genuine.

Whether she truly had a son or not (though considering Felicia's history of being a pathological liar, I wouldn't put it past her), she used that narrative to trick Peter into a sense of false security, only to then trap him in a room after she got what she wanted.

And let's say that Felicia having a son WAS true. Guess what? THAT'S EVEN WORSE!

Because NOW instead of it just being a slimy scheme to get him vulnerable, she's lying to him by omission. Regardless of what her so-called intentions could be, she's still manipulating him which is an absolute no-bueno for ANY type of relationship (romantic or not).

You guys seriously need to stop glossing over how flawed these characters are just because you're attracted to them.

Y'all will complain up and down about how Peter's constantly broke but then want him to hook up with a chick that'd just steal his money without a blink? Make it make sense.

Once again, MJ is DEFINITELY not a good girlfriend for him either, but are we really going to pick a literal criminal as a love interest JUST because she's pretty?

“Oh, but Felicia has a similar lifestyle to Spider-Man!” Uh…no the freak she does NOT.

Spider-Man fights crime. Felicia COMMITS crimes.

Do they have chemistry? Yes, way more than an actual chemistry lab. But Felicia would absolutely NOT be a good long-term partner for Peter—he deserves way better than her.

At this point, if Peter having a love interest MUST (utterly MUST) be a prerequisite, I'd genuinely prefer he at least (at the freaking LEAST) get with Sable or Watanabe (before she became Wraith, that is—don’t even get me started on that mess) because at least those two try to have SOME (not good but some) sense of decent morality.

“Oh but look at her, she's bad–” You don't need to project the fact you're a masochist on everyone else.

If you're the kinda person who likes being manipulated and taken advantage of by people you find hot, that's your problem you need to get fixed in therapy.

But here's what annoys me the most about this whole thing: I know for a FACT that if MJ was the more attractive one and that FELICIA was mid-looking, you guys would then be SCREAMING for her to be with Peter instead of Felicia.

Really think about it. Without Felicia's looks, what kind of person is she? Is she really someone worth being with? Don't worry, I have the answer: NO-

Felicia is in NO way a better love interest for Peter and I'm tired of people acting like she is just because she looks like an Instagram cosplayer.

As if that makes it any better. If anything, all that's doing is giving me MORE proof as to why she's not a good person for him WHATSOEVER.

If the genders were reversed, you'd all be grossed out by Felicia, let's not even lie. If Felicia was a guy doing all of this to a female version of Peter, you'd all be calling him a creep and trying to cancel him on Twitter -_-

Felicia will tend to get more affectionate, if that's even possible, when she wants a kiss from you. It takes her a while of teasing to say it outright of course, it's only in her nature to toy with her food until she's dissatisfied with the length of time it's taking to feast.

She loves to hold your hand, wrap an arm around your waist and kiss your neck first, perhaps give a small bite to your collarbone or wrist, refusing to give even a peck to your lips for what feels like hours.

When you're finally at your wits end, begging and pleading for an ounce of attention to your mouth, that's when she gives you what you both desire the most.

Felicia's kisses are normally very gentle, she treats you like how she treats those precious gemstones that she just loves to steal, grabbing you roughly and snatching you up, yet holding you so far above just a simple object because you're not her possession, she's not your owner, you're her lover, her partner, and it shows when she gives you her sweet, long kisses. She never just kisses your lips, as she could never stick to only loving one part of your body.

She starts at your hands, running up your arm, to your shoulder, neck, then your cheek and your ear, whispering into them her filthy yet somehow sweet words. Only then, and only then, she finally gives you that kiss to your lips. Her eyes flutter closed as they brush against yours, her complete and utter adoration for you is clear as day.

Felicia's hands never leave you, grabbing your hips or waist to keep you still, to have her claws so close to digging into your body, yet never fully doing so, never hurting you, never dreaming of causing you pain, only to hold you.

But when she wants them to be, they can be rough, longer lasting, typically only when she's stressed or feeling more passionate. That's when she uses tongue, pushing you against the wall, her hands attacking your body with her dangerously passionate touches, even squeezing your thighs and hips as harsh as you'll allow to make you squirm with pleasure.

You're painfully aware of how flirty Felicia is, every interaction has her hands wander over every inch of your body and her smooth words dripping over you like honey. Because of that, how well you know her, how well she knows you, it doesn't take either of you too long to realise what exactly she wants.

She eyes you from across the room for a moment, as if a hawk studying a lost mouse, slowly, she approaches, black heels clicking on the ground like a warning. Her hand reaches out to lightly brush against your own, her lips begin to curl into a devious smirk, one she always wears when she's up to something. Felicia leans close and whispers into your ear.

"Your lips, they look so appetising." After she sees you shiver in anticipation Felicia's hand gently runs up your arm, leading to your shoulder. For a moment, and only for a moment, she pauses, only to grab your shoulder and yank you closer.

"Can I have a taste?"

I like polls it's honestly really fun to make them because I'm so indecisive (⁠￣⁠ヘ⁠￣⁠;⁠)

All of these characters exist in my universe, the extra Spider-Man excluded, and the one that's chosen as a love interest is for my alien spidersona, not my main one. The ones who aren't chosen will be my main Spidersonas friends in school as I don't want a love interest for my main spidersona.

But seriously, apart from her huge career, because she is a great actress, in short, very talented and exudes confidence in all her femininity, but what I want to highlight is the impact of music and the beef with Olivia, I present two points

positive: it would help her experience of being seen as the villain just for being the "other woman" in the construction of the character and in deconstructing this misogenous thought that there is only room for one woman in any position or scenario .

negative: this whole talk could have a negative influence if stupid people associate the image that the media made of her with the character, it could actually create more female and ship intrigue than usual

I have an emotional attachment to her, she is the star of the afternoon sessions, stable career, good humor, elegance even when dressed in simple costumes, there is no small role for her, and she transcends her characters while maintaining her registered emotional brand.

As a romantic pair or anti-heroine I think TAMS was a robbery, they deprived us of the experience of having our Black Cat with Andrew and speaking of chemistry these two got an A+ from what I could see in the deleted scenes I'm hungry for more interactions, but hope ladies and gentlemen the war has not been won, may the force be with us (rogue one)
