21 is such a good character because he sets up all these little rules for himself to prove he's good but does things he knows are bad. Thats my interpretation of him- deeply flawed pushover. He knows murder is bad but does it anyways in the name of "the cause". He valorizes his actions whilst feeling intense shame. That's rlly the only way i can view his character after the end of s6, since they never touch on his guilt regarding the morpho killings after s6- my interpretation of that (prob'ly for times sake) decision is that he just stopped caring after a while. It's his job to do things that make him uncomfortable, and his "moral compass" only goes so far
