fic: Peter Parker: Intern by LokisGhost
fic link
I wonder Which Spider-Man would be the best therapist-
Ok- I saw a tumblr post about how Tony stark needs his “weekly dose of Peter or he turns into a jerk” or what not and I imagined people being prescribed a hang out session with Peter Parker/Spider-man as a way to chill out-
Like- imagine if a bunch of the Spider people did a contract with an inter dimensional therapy thing, and they would help people with their problems by listening to them vent, Giving advice, or even using webs to help with physical therapy too-
I should make a fanfic about this-
If nobody makes a fic where a younger version of Loki (15-16) discovers he's a frost giant, thinks back to all the shitty things he had to endure, runs away to be free and THRIVES I'll do it my damn self.

Why is it when I’m trying to find more cute May Parker x Tony Stark fics on ao3 I get gross shit like this... literally why can some writers help clean up the tag please I’m tired of seeing these
Do you think you could write about short sized! Reader working for Bruce banner as a lab assistant and Steve has a total crush on her.
You sat comfortably at your desk, analysing recent data on your computer screen. To an everyday person what would look like a jumbled mix of numbers and symbols to you made perfect sense.
“Bruceee.”
“Ah-huh.” He responded, eye deep into a telescope.
“The optimal temperature for nuclear reaction is…”
“100 million Kelvin… depends.”
“Figured.” You grumbled, nibbling on the end of a pen.
He rose from his stool, moving towards your desk and minimising the screen.
“This might sound hypocritical coming from me, but you need to get a social life.”
You re-opened the screen, eyes zoning in on him “This is social.” Gesturing between you both.
“No this is work.” He minimised the screen again.
“It’s a hobby.” You re-opened it,
“That you get paid to do.” He minimised the screen once more.
Before you could continue your game of cat and mouse, a knock at the door caused both your heads to rise.
“Sorry to interrupt I just came to drop off these documents for Y/N.”
Your eyes darted up to the large frame leaning against the door, his blue eyes never leaving yours as he offered a soft smile, holding a thick manilla folder in his hands like it was nothing.
“Oh yeah, okay, I was just about to go.” Bruce rose, walking past Steve.
Bruce raised his pointer finger at Steve, leaning in close and whispering while you were distracted by the screen in front of you “I…MIT won’t stop calling desperate for her to join so don’t… you know because I will go Hulk on your ass.”
Steve gave him a respectful nod “I won’t.”
“Good.” With a slap on the shoulder Bruce made his way out.
Steve stalked towards you, placing the folder on your desk with a thud.
You skim through the contents only to find blank pages.
“These are all blank?”
“Yes, they are.”
“What… why would you… what?”
Steve’s hand rubbed the back of his head “I just wanted an excuse to come see you.” He smiled at you sheepishly.
You sighed, rising from your desk making your way to the chemical cupboard with Steve close on your tail.
“I’m in the middle of making universe altering research breakthroughs Steven.” You thumbed through the walls of vials and chemicals.
Steven. Only you called him Steven. Not Rogers. Not Captain. Steven. And while he’d choke out anyone else who called him that besides his mother, he loved hearing his name fall from your lips.
“Which is why I think you deserved a break.”
“Why is everyone so obsessed with me talking breaks around here?”
“Because you work the hardest.” You momentarily paused, turning your head over your shoulder, catching the sincerity on his face.
“I’m not a superhero.” You shook your head.
“You are, in a way…” He moved forward coming behind you as you reached upwards, pushing your weight onto your tippy toes to reach the container on the top shelf, your fingertips barely brushing it. Even in heeled boots you couldn’t even reach.
With a swift motion, he placed his hand on your hip to pull you back slightly, raising his toned arm and grabbing the container effortlessly and handing it to you.
“I can’t even reach the top shelf.” Blush rose to your cheek at the feeling of his body so close to you.
“Yes, but even superhero need help sometimes and more importantly… lives.”
“I have a life!” You moved out of his reach going back towards your desk.
“When was the last time you had a beer with us? Or didn’t go into the lab for a day? Or went on a date?” He spat out.
You paused, turning on your heels, eyeing him.
“What do you want?” You said bluntly, crossing your arms over your full chest.
You were annoyed and he could tell. But he was absolutely obsessed with the way you looked in this moment, eyes piercing right into his soul through your glasses, your hair in a claw clip with strands sticking out and falling over your face. The tapping on your boot against the linoleum floor and the way your arms crossed pushed your chest together revealing a small sight of cleavage under your sweater.
He shouldn’t have found it as sexy as he did.
“I’d like you to take a break…”
You went to interject him and give him a 1000 reasons why you wouldn’t take a break until he finished…
“So, I can take you on a date.”
Your mouth fell agape but you were quick to recover with a sarcastic chuckle.
“Do you want me to warm up the CAT scan? Seems your brain has turned to mush from being in the ice so long.”
“Y/N please.”
“Steven, I don’t date.”
“Why not?”
“Because it’s not scientific and it’s not logical, it’s unexplainable nonsense that drives women to insanity.”
He crooked an eyebrow up at you. “I don’t think you could get more insane than you already are if that helps.”
You rubbed your temples turning on your heels to go back to your desk until you felt a strong hang grab your wrist and pull you back into a hard chest.
“Y/N, I see what you do day in day out for this team, and it doesn’t go unnoticed. But I also see how when you’re focused your eyebrows knot together, how I know which pencils are yours because of the bite marks on ends, how at the end of every day you let your hair fall out and you shake it with your hands, how the sweat drips down your chest and soaks your sports bras in the gym, how when you make a sly comment everyone laughs because you’re funny without realising and I can’t stop looking at you and I won’t but I desperately want to see what’s in your mind behind formulas and data because I know there’s more to you than that so if you would give me the pleasure I really REALLY want to be the social life you so desperately need. I see you, more than you know. And while it may not be mathematical, it makes perfectly calculated sense to me.”
You sucked in your lips, emotions swelling inside of you. His head bowed towards you, foreheads touching.
“Please.”
You nodded unable to form words as his arms tightened around your waist, pulling you in as his lips lightly brushed yours, forcing you to relax in his grip and reciprocate the tender kiss.
“I’ll see you at 7pm - don’t be late.” He gave you final kiss on your forehead, walking out with a beaming smile.
Leaving you in shock as you finally let out the breath you’ve been holding in and warmth spread throughout your body.
Small sized reader wants to get tied up so she could get fucked hard by her husband, Steve rogers
You watched as Steve cut off the rope holding your Christmas tree together. You didn’t know such a small, mundane movement could turn you on. His veins pulsated as his used the sheers to cut the taunt rope, his tongue sticking out a little as he focused on the task at hand. Catching the loose rope in his hands as it sprung around the tree. You sat on the couch, glass of wine in hand admiring the man in his grey sweater and jeans.
“What you want me to do with these bub?” He held up the long thick ropes in his hand, 4 strands of beige yarn. You got up from your spot, hand falling to his waist and pulling him closer into a kiss. “I have an idea.” You purred into his ear as blush rose to his cheeks.
“What is it honey? Seems you’ve had a bit too much wine baby girl.” He pulled your chin up to him.
“I’m just drunk on you.” You took the ropes from his hands, turning around and making your way up the stairs.
He almost tripped following you up the stairs, quick on your step as you rushed towards your bedroom, giggling at the sudden game of cat and mouse. Until you felt the sudden tackle of Steve behind you onto the bed, falling into a fit of laughing you turned onto your back.
Eye to eye with the gorgeous man. He ran his nose along your jaw, nibbling at the skin on your neck.
“What’s your idea gorgeous girl?”
“Tie me up.” His head peaked up, a quizzically look on his face as he studied your face for a hint of humour. “What?” “Like my wrists and ankles. Tie me up to the bed and then…” You wrapped your arms his neck, bypassing his lips quickly towards his ear “Fuck me.” You bit your lip noticing the sudden darkness of his eyes.
He groaned, grabbing the ropes from beside you.
“Starfish. Now.” You hurried to the top of the bed, lying on your back, still in your baby pink slip. You reached to pull it over your head.
“No. Keep it on.” He growled at you, pulling on your left ankle roughly. He positioned the rope in a circle around your ankle, tightening the strand in a quick motion
“That too tight?” He looked up at you, concern on his face. “Tighter.” You purred at him. He smirked, tightening it harder so it pinched against your skin. You moaned at the feeling of pressure. He anchored it to the golden bed post.
Repeating the action on the other foot. He placed his knee on the bed, moving up towards you, grabbing your hands and cuffing them over your head, fastening them together against the headboard.
Moving down past your lips, you groaned at the lack of kisses. “Stop whining, or I’ll tie your mouth up as well.” You bit your lip as excitement formed between your legs.
Leaving soft, wet kisses against your neck, moving your dress to the side with his face, he cupped your breast in his hand as he placed the nib in his mouth, sucking lightly, grazing his teeth against the sensitive nipple. You moaned at the sudden pressure.
He pulled away, towering over you as his fingertips grazed along your body.
“You’re so petite baby, look at you all helpless and tied up.”
Desperately wanting to rub your thighs together to ease the ache between your legs. You tried to move into his touch, unable to get a few inches off the bed with the tight restraints holding you down. Steve quickly bunched the slip over your hips, exposing your heat to the cool winter air.
He blew hot air onto your core, you squirmed at the contrasting temperatures.
He stood up, slowly pulling his sweater over his head and throwing it across the room. His hands palmed over his thick chest down towards his zipper.
All you could do was watch his taunting strip tease, desperately wanting to run your nails down his chest. Revealing his hard member, he pulled down the final layer of cloth. The cotton that confined his hard, thick cock from your aching hole. Moving his head down towards your now soaking pussy, he gave a soft kiss to your puffy folds. Peaking his tongue out to taste your arousal. He simply couldn’t help himself to tease you, addicted to the taste of you he devoured your sex, vacuuming up your fluid with his mouth.
His head rose, rubbing the glistening sheen on his chin with the back of his hand.
“You ready baby?” He rubbed his bright pink head against your messy wet folds.
Even in moments of deep intense pleasure, Steve would still take the time to ensure your comfort. It made you want him more.
“Just fuck me already.” You groaned, desperate to feel him.
He pushed against your tight hole, desperate to feel his length be wrapped up by your velvet walls but also conscious to not hurt you.
“More” you moaned. It was all he needed
Your habit during sex was always to run your hands through his hair and down his back towards his juicy peach of an ass, leaving long red lines. Your instincts want to give in, but you can’t even touch him beyond the feel of his chest against yours as he lays his weight on you.
Mouth finally reaching yours, as his tongue explored, fighting for a sense of control you’d never get as you shoved your tongue deep in his mouth. Moaning at the sensations of his small little patch of hair rubbing over your mound, the feeling of his head grazing your g spot over and over. Trapped between his biceps on either side of your head.
The position while limited, Steve used all his skills to keep a decent pace, hitting your g spot continuously, his hand trailing down to your lower stomach, pushing down on his member that was visibly inside of you.
“That feel good baby? … look at that - you can see me inside of you.” The depth of his thrust only pushing you further towards an orgasm,
“Daddy I’m gonna cum!” Your hands pulled against the tight restraints, desperate to release the coil inside of you.
“Cum baby you earned it.” With that a flush of liquid poured out of you, pushing out his cock in the process.
“I wasn’t finished.” He growled, shoving his cock promptly back into you, increasing his laboured thrusts, chasing his release as he pooled a hot shot of cum into your cervix. His teeth gritted as he held onto your throat for leverage, enjoying the sight of your eyes rolling back into your head as his bulbous tip assaulted your now sensitive insides. Unable to push away from his grip or tear at his back, tears started to form in your eyes as you lay helpless for him to use as he pleased.
He collapsed on top you, breathing into your ear as he came down from his high. Slowly moving upwards, he untied your wrist with a swift pull, your hands immediately falling to his back muscles, pulling him closer to kiss you passionately, desperate to feel him.
He grabbed your hands and softly massaged away the redness from your wrists. Placing soft kisses on the indents from your resistance.
“We are keeping the ropes.” He groaned at you.
You chuckled lightly, kissing his forehead as you finally were able to move freely.
Reader adopts a cat to help her boyfriend Captain America, Steve rogers deal with the trauma and nightmares
You were woken up to thrashing beside you in bed. Third night in a row. Sweat formed on Steve’s forehead with his face contorted in terror. You rolled over, placing a light hand on his shoulder, he instantly moved into you.
“Hey hey, honey… it’s just a dream.” You patted his head softly as his eyes slowly blinked open.
He let out a large sigh, sitting up in bed and rubbing his face.
“Same one?”
“Same one.” He said in a defeated tone.
You rubbed his back soothingly before getting up to get a glass of water from the sink. Handing it to him in bed.
“Thanks honey.” You sat next to him as he took a large gulp, turning back to cuddle into your comforting frame.
As he gently lulled off to sleep in your arms, large arms wrapped around you. You mind wandered to all the things you could do to help your poor guy.
3 WEEKS LATER
You placed the gold box in front of Steve on the couch. Holes punctured in the top and a shiny red bow in the middle.
“What’s this?” He looked up at you curiously.
“Open it.” You smiled, taking a spot next to him.
Steve inched forward, slowly taking off the lid and peering inside the box.
“Oh my goodness.” Steve’s eyes widen in joy at the little ball of fluff, sitting pretty.
The calico kitten let out a small meow, standing on its hind legs and pawing at the walls, desperate to be picked up.
Steve took the small kitten in his large hands, encompassing it carefully as he brought it to his chest. The kitten immediately rubbed his ear against Steve’s jaw, purring at the contact.
“Y/N… you… you didn’t… omg I love him.”
“Her. And you’re welcome. I looked it up and the purr of a cat can help relaxation and healing. So, I thought maybe a couple of kitten kisses will help you sleep through the night.” You beamed at him, your hand going to scratch the little one’s head.
“Her. She’s the best gift I’ve ever gotten. I can’t believe you’d do that for me.” Tears started to form in the captain’s eyes as his heart burst at the ball of fluff.
“Think of her as our first baby.” You winked.
“Gotta name her… what do you think she looks like… Esmerelda, Fluffy, Ariel?”
“How about Soxs.” You grabbed the kittens’ paw, admiring the pattern of fur that gave her four perfect little white blocks.
“Soxs. Perfect.” He turned to you, kissing you on the mouth softly.
The two became inseparable with Soxs taking up permanent position sleeping between your heads at night.
The nightmares stopped but Steve got even less sleep after being woken up at 4am to Soxs wanting breakfast.
She'd follow him everywhere, doing little walks between his legs.
The whole of Avengers loved her, with Stark acting like a villain whenever she'd sit in his lap.
Her favourite place to nap was the Avengers meeting table.
Steve would feed her little slices of ham at dinner, dangling it under the table for her to catch.

You turned to look at each other, letting the radio host’s announcement sit. “But how?” Wanda mumbled.
You didn’t have any leads as to what could’ve possibly led to another time jump. You suggested that the crash might’ve caused it, though Vision shook his head to the suggestion. “It doesn’t seem likely. Last time this occurred, we were in the diner, not the car, which only voids us of an answer.” He stated while picking up a piece of mail from the floor and grabbing a pen. He began to jot down the years they were dropped into and the events that took place beforehand.
You peered at the paper inquisitively. “What’re you doing?”
“Taking note of our circumstances every time this transpires, so we could potentially find a correlation.” He sighed after writing down the last word onto the piece of mail. “And hopefully a cause.”
A frown started to etch itself onto Pietro’s face once he ripped his gaze from the paper to look up at you all. “So we bought clothes for nothing?”
Wanda took a deep inhale and turned to look out the car window. “You’re lucky I’m too tired to argue with you.”
“It was money spent on nothing! And what happens when we run out? We don’t have the money Tony has!”
Your brows furrowed at this. “He’s got a point. We don’t know how long we’ll stay in here and if the money we have will be enough.” You started to bite your nails anxiously as you tried to think of ways to deal with this situation. “We should keep the things we buy within this car. The car so far has come with us, regardless of location, so it looks like our best bet.”
“Looking for brief jobs could be a start to saving if that’s the case then. Or if we’re fortunate enough to have an avengers-esk team in this reality, then we might be able to get employed for the time being. And maybe get answers.” Vision added.
Wanda reluctantly nodded and huffed; hating to admit her brother had a point. She gazed at the flickering neon lights from a sketchy motel and grimaced a the sight. “A place to stay as payment would be nice too.”
“Can you not zap us into an apartment?” Pietro faced you.
You shook your head. “It doesn’t work like that. I can only transport myself so far.” You said in slight frustration. “Still working on transporting people with me.” You muttered the last part.
“I get why they needed me now.” He taunted under his breath; earning a flick on the forehead from you and his sister. He rubbed the spots after slapping both of your hands away. “Why am I always targeted?! Vision never has to endure this.”
His sister rolled her eyes. “Vision is not annoying.”
The compliment seemed to catch him off guard, judging by the red pigment dusting his human colored skin. “Oh, thank you. I think.”
“No problem, Vis.”
“Okay so Vision is amazing. Great!” Pietro then gestured to the building across the street. “Where are we going to stay at tonight, cause that motel over there should not even be in service.”
“The only thing we can do is drive around to find another place. Unless a store that sells a map of the town is still open at-” You check the time written on the car radio. “1:34 in the morning. And even if we do buy a map, we don’t know how long it’ll be useful for before we jump into another fucking world!” You sighed exasperatedly; your hands covering your face as your head dropped. You could feel a headache coming on by the uncertainty of all this. You hated not knowing how long this would last and how you could make this work for a long period of time, if it came to that.
Pietro’s demeanor softened as he saw you hide behind your hands. He carefully reached out and gingerly brought them down onto your lap. “It’ll be fine. We will find somewhere to stay at, and if not tonight, we have the car, no? Then when the sun comes up, we will search for a motel. Hopefully one that does not have a sign that will fall onto us the moment we enter.” You snorted at the description. “If we find ourselves here for more than a day, we will do what you and Vision have said and take it one step at a time, okay? We will get out of here. It might take time. And that’s okay. All that matters right now is that we can find somewhere to sleep at.” He murmured while peering into your eyes, gently squeezing your hands in his. “And I don’t want to find out what you’re like in the morning when you don’t have a goodnight sleep.” A toothy smile found it’s way onto his face once your eyes rolled and a smile broke out. “Y’know, I can run around the city until I find a good place that’s open?”
You frowned. “It’s like stupidly hot right now though.” Even though his idea really would help, you did feel guilty if he had to run in the heat like this.
“I’ve been through worse, kapička. But your pampering flatters me.” He winked; the wide smile remaining on his face. “Wait here, I’ll be back.” And just like that he was gone with only a gust of wind left to take his place.
You fixed your being and fluttered your lashes; your eyes adjusting to the abrupt charge of air that just hit it. “I do wish he gave us more time to prepare when he did that.”
Less than five seconds later, he came back and was seated. He held his hand in his lap, though it seemed as if he was discreetly angling it away from you. One slight tilt to the left was enough for you to catch a glimpse of the blue ink on it, and the lines marking his hand. He turned to look up at you and swiftly put his hand back down onto his lap. “Take a right.”
“He needs to write down how to get somewhere when he gives someone else directions. Or else he’ll forget cause he is not going at the speed he typically goes at.” Wanda said unamused as she leaned into the space between the two front seats.
“Y’know it doesn’t cost you to keep quiet.”
“You were going to make a fool of yourself if you kept looking down at your hand throughout the whole ride. I just saved you from further embarrassment, you should be thankful.”
Pietro grumbled at that and continued with giving you directions until you found a safe enough motel and booked a room. You all got rest and went to nearby stores for luggages and clothes the next morning. You each shopped for a few clothing items, just in case you did get transported after a day. You kept them in the car when not in use after buying; testing to see if your theories were correct for the next time it occurred. You also bought a few basic necessities in small increments for the same reason.
You each got ready for the day with your new outfits and repeated the process from two days ago. Except instead of proving if this were an alternate timeline, this time you were looking for evidence of your teammates potential existence in this world. And as if hearing your pleas, it didn’t take long to find that they did. Or at least two of them did. Clint and Nat. The thing was, they didn’t have an agency like S.H.I.E.L.D. but were rather faceless vigilantes. You figured you could work with that. The issue was finding a way to get in contact with them.
That is where the four of you found yourselves; waiting in dangerous parts of the city, hoping to catch one of them in the midst of a fight. That plan didn’t go over well as three nights had gone by and nothing.
“They are not going to show up.” Pietro said after 20 minutes of waiting on the fourth night. “It’s only two of them in this city, there’s no way we’ll spot them like this.”
“What do you suggest then?”
“Get their attention.” He shrugged.
You raised your brow. “How though?” He dashed off and came back in less than a second with a bandana on his head and two holes cut where his eyes would be.
“Join the action.” He grinned and held out bandanas and ski masks.
Wanda took a bandana. “You could’ve just tied it around half of your face.”
“I needed to cover my hair.”
“It barely covers it. Use this, not the cloth.” Wanda plucked out a ski mask to hand it back to him while you and Vision took the two articles of clothing left.
Pietro was visibly upset at the suggestion. “It’s not as cool.”
The four of you went on to stalk different sections of the city; fighting lawbreakers with your new attire that Pietro supplied for you all by ‘borrowing’ after getting the head pieces. You all agreed upon not using powers, as it seemed this world hasn’t had superbeings, so you used hand to hand combat instead. You heard nothing from them that night, but at least the city caught wind of the four of you. And that in itself could’ve been the reason that on the fifth night, you were confronted by the pair after having taken down some criminals.
“Interesting suits. Pretty sure I saw that very shirt just three blocks down.” You turned around to see Clint and Nat behind you; weapons not held up but not fully put away either.
“Got these on discounts.” Pietro spoke up.
Nat tilted her head at that and raised her brow. “Wasn’t aware 13th street and 9th were having a sale?”
You turned to look at Pietro with furrowed brows as if asking “where did you get these?” He ignored your stare and responded to Natasha mockingly. “You keep track of all the clothes in the city?”
“We got some complaints.”
“I thought you were fighters not landlords.”
“Yeah well people talk when four new crime fighters enter the scene with theft already on their hands. Congrats, you made the headlines if that was what you wanted.” Clint held up a newspaper packet with four separate pictures of the four of you fighting in your ‘suits.’ “It’s how we got the complaints when residents saw their clothes on the front page.”
Pietro avoided the gaze from his twin, you, and Vision as he stared off onto the street. You shook your head and rolled your eyes before facing the duo in front of you. “Right, we’re sorry about that. We’ll return these in the morning. Guess we should’ve been careful about who runs errands for us.” You chuckled with a strained smiled; hoping Pietro caught the jab. “We really didn’t mean to get off on the wrong foot with you and the neighborhood.”
“As long as you don’t steal again, we’ll be in the clear.” The pair was about to leave, yet Clint turned around once more. “And you guys should keep the talking to a minimum when fighting or in your suits. Most of you have distinguishable accents. Just a heads up if you don’t want trouble with the law.”
Your eyes widened a smidge upon the realization. You weren’t a masked hero and the twins, and Vision, were meant to be maskless as well, when joining the team. It genuinely slipped your mind that you could get recognized by your way of speaking. So in an attempt to keep in contact with the vigilantes, and get guidance, you asked them if they could mentor the four of you. The two looked shocked and glanced at each other before returning their gazes onto you all.
“What are you guys some type of teen titans?” Clint teased.
Your mouth opened to make a retort but then closed back up. To be fair, you did have a robot, who may not have been half human, but felt and thought like one. And you had Wanda who was like a sorceress. Pietro was just…Pietro you guess. To his credit, he does have the confidence, flirtatiousness, and agility (except more enhanced) that resembles Nightwing’s; with a humor that mirrors Beast Boy’s. Plus, while you weren’t an alien, you could teleport.
Shit Clint was right to a degree without even knowing. And you were going to keep it that way too. You cleared your throat. “No, though some tips and tricks would help greatly. We can fight but the whole being discreet and covering our tracks is still new to us.”
They shared looks as if having a mental conversation until Nat nodded whilst letting out a sigh. “Alright then. Training starts tomorrow night at 8 on the dot. Bring new threads. Preferably ones that don’t have a five finger discount. Uh-” She held her index finger up and brought her other hand up to her ear while nodding. “Copy. We’ll get there soon.” She hinted at Clint that they had to go with the tilt of her head.
“Right, well nice chat, but we’ll have to cut this shor- Alright! Alright! We’re going! Jesus have some patience man, I can’t think when you’re yelling in my ear.” He huffed and nodded in acknowledgment towards the four of you; Natasha following along before taking off. Unfortunately, they were too quick to leave that you had failed to ask where to meet them at.
The next morning….
“This should be it.” You said once you finished folding the last clothing item. “I can’t believe you broke into these people’s homes.” You said under your breath while shaking your head.
Pietro collected the clothes from you and furrowed his brows. “I didn’t break into their homes.”
“Then how’d you get these?”
“From the clothes they hang outside to dry.” He shrugged. “Don’t leave your clothes out if you don’t want them to get stolen.” You gave him a deadpanned look, causing him to put his hands up in defense. “Hey, you said we needed to save, so I went with the best method! Look, all the stores were closed, and you didn’t like me stealing from a vendor yesterday.”
“So you stole from everyday people?”
“They’re getting it back are they not?”
“After we found out through Nat and Clint.”
“See? Perfect! It all worked out.” He taunted and then leaned in to peck your temple. Before you could react, he ran off; his words echoing in place of him, “Thank you for the help, drahý!” You hadn’t even processed the sound of something falling onto the bedside table, until the items caught the corner of your eyes. Pietro left you with your favorite snack and drink, along with a note that read “I said I’d get your snacks next time ;)”

“We have the car.” Pietro stated as if it was obvious.
“If I damage her, Tony is going to kill me.”
“Tony can’t get to you right now.”
“Ok, but when we do get back, he’ll kill me. And I doubt he’ll excuse the fact that we just wanted to have fun.”
“Thats easy. We lie.”
At this point, it was past 12 a.m. The four of you had gone to a motel after heading to the compound, only to find it had ceased to exist. You weren’t exactly sure what that meant for the four of you. Had the team yet to be born? Presumably if it was the 60s, it checks out. Unfortunate for the lot of you however, as it meant you couldn’t get aid from the very people who knew how to handle supernatural phenomenons. And despite booking a motel room with two beds, you and Pietro seemed to be on the same page; struggling to sleep due to the ceaseless questions racking your brains.
That is where you found yourselves in the parking lot of the motel, attempting to make the hours pass. Pietro had just suggested to take the car out for a spin, being that he never had the need to drive nor learned how to. And you two argued for some time about it, though ultimately, Pietro was able to get through to you. You figured it may be best to have someone else who knows how to drive besides you and maybe Vision? You weren’t quite sure if he did, however you assumed he could given the whole robot thing. Either way, that left you here, teaching him how to drive, as you gripped onto the door handle for dear life.
“Alright you got that part down, now put some pressure onto the gas pedal again.” He put more than you anticipated, causing your grip to tighten. “Less! Less.” He adjusted his foot to the gas pedal.
“I thought I was doing okay.”
“Thought, not was. We can’t go too fast yet until you’ve got the basics down.”
“This will take forever.”
“It’s supposed to take some time to learn. Plus, this was your idea.” He slowed the car to a stop before looking over at you.
“I thought it would be quick and we could speed down the streets. Do a donut or whatever you call it.” You reached over to put the car in parking.
“Well you thought wrong.” He let out a puff of air while bubbling his lips. He gazed around, taking in the closed vintage shops before his eyes landed on you once more. His eyes then traveled down to your wrist before lightly plucking at your bracelet, allowing the bracelet to snap back at your skin. “Agh!” He snickered at your reaction. “You’re so-”
“Lovable? Fast? Endearing?”
“Pesky.” You retorted as you reached over to snap his bracelet in return.
A faux frown made its way onto his face. “That hurt!”
You laughed a bit while speaking. “To be fair, you could’ve moved on time instead of letting me do that.” He couldn’t harbor the grin he was trying to keep hidden anymore.
“It wouldn’t be fair.”
“I don’t think you’re one for fairness, Maximoff.” Your lips mirrored his.
“Only if I’m given reason. And you’re one of them.”
“You stole my fries earlier.”
He nodded sheepishly. “I wasn’t committed to the fairness back then.”
“And you are now?” You giggled softly.
“With my whole heart, mind, body, and soul.” He muttered dramatically while taking ahold of your hand, placing your palm over his chest, where his heart lied. He let his thumb glide over the back of your hand while you felt the fast beat of his heart. Quite unnaturally fast actually. Though that must be a given, due to his abilities. Some supernatural heartbeats passed by as you struggled to come up with a response. “You’re awfully quiet, kapička.” A prideful smirk transpired onto his lips. “Am I making you nervous?” His tone carried the usual teasing tone, but you did hear some genuine curiosity and concern laced into it. And with the way his eyes studied yours, it gave you further reason to believe so.
“Course not.” You retracted your hand. “Just didn’t expect you to grab my hand like that.”
He chuckled at that. “Do you not like that?”
You took a pause before responding. “I don’t mind it.” You said quietly into the night air while avoiding his look. If you turned back around, you were sure you’d see his shit eating grin once more. Surprisingly though, you weren’t met with a teasing response, just a “hm.” You looked at the time plastered onto the car’s clock. “We should head back, it’s getting late.”
“Can I drive us back then?”
“Definitely not.”
You two sneaked back into the motel room, careful not to wake Wanda and Vision up. You lied beside Wanda, ready to fall asleep, but not before thinking about your hand on him and how it made your heart race. You push the feeling and memories away, knowing there wasn’t much to it and let your dreams take over.
Once morning came around, the four of you headed out for breakfast while discussing how to get answers on how you ended up there and hopefully find a way out. “We’re in the 60’s that much we know.” You stated while offering some of your food to Pietro. He happily plopped a few pieces into his mouth while nodding and munching along.
“But are we in our 60’s or an alternate timeline?” Vision added.
Wanda turned to him after a moment of thinking. “Is there not some way we can test to see if it is?”
He paused before nodding. “You could be onto something. We can look for known events to figure out whether or not the timelines match up.”
“That’s a really good idea actually. Should we head to a library? We can even get some newspapers?” You chimed in.
You each collected books and newspapers for Vision to read, being that he was a fast reader and knew if the information aligned with your universe’s history. Two hours had gone by and you were in the history section, searching for any other history book that might’ve been missed. You ran your finger along the spine of the books as you read the labels and suddenly fell forward upon feeling someone bump into you. The person thankfully was quick on their feet and had made sure you didn’t hit your head on the shelves or floor whilst they repositioned you upright.
“Please pardon-” was all the stranger got out before you realized that the voice belonged to Steve. He looked like he usually does, but with a 60’s pompadour haircut that didn’t draw too much attention. “I really didn’t mean to bump into you, I’m so sorry. My friend just shoved me carelessly without looking.” He continued, looking back to give his friend a stern look. Your eyes followed his, seeing his friend was a brunette with a ducktail hairstyle. He happened to be built like Steve but in a slightly shorter stature. “Otherwise, we would’ve made sure not to put you at risk. Are you alright? You didn’t hit your head did you?”
You blinked a couple of times before nodding and laughing a bit nervously. “No yeah, I’m fine, just a little shaken up. You just look so familiar, but I can’t quite put my finger on it. Your name starts with an S right?”
He smiled warmly as he shook his head. “Steve, yes.” He held his hand out for you to shake while speaking. “I’m not sure I remember your name, my apologies. Would you mind reminding me?”
You gave him your name and attempted to see if you could get more information out of him. “Yeah yeah, I’m not sure if I saw you around or maybe on something like a newspaper?” You tilted your head in an innocent manner.
It ended up working, given that he gave you a wide smile and raised his brows. “Oh that’s a possibility-” he started until his friend butted in with an arm slung around Steve’s shoulders.
“Though it’s likely you saw Steve on TV, that’s where most of the beauties recognize him from.” To which Steve smacked his friend’s torso with the back of his hand.
“Please don’t pay him any mind.”
“Or pay me all of it, hun.” His friend offered a toothy smile and extended his hand for you to shake. “The names James, but you can call me Bucky.”
You returned the smile with a friendly one of your own and shook his hand. “Nice to meet you Bucky. I imagine you make the headlines too?” You took a wild guess. You weren’t sure what was true and what wasn’t. Steve being alive right now, and not trapped in ice, confirmed you were in a different reality. Though he looks the same age as he did since the 40’s, meaning he must’ve taken the serum. And given how his friend is built, you assume he might’ve too.
“Not as much as Steve, but if you’re looking for me, I’m sure you’ll find me.” He winked. “Is that your guy?” He flicked his head to signal behind you. You turned to find Pietro walking up to you and stopping right beside you. You turned back around, a bit wide eyed while shaking your head and laughing bashfully.
“Oh no, no, he’s a friend of mine. Bucky, Steve, this is Pietro, Pietro this Bucky and Steve.” You introduced them to each other. Pietro greeted Steve first and then simply gave Bucky a thin lipped smile when he shook his hand. “I was wondering if you two can possibly show me and my friends around here? We’re new to the place, and I’m assuming you two are well acquainted with it. That is if it’s not too big of an ask and if you two aren’t busy, of course.”
Bucky was the first to reply, instantly at that. “It would be no issue at all, angel face.”
“Would you want to know about any places in particular? There’s a theater a few blocks down if you want to see a play.”
“You’re gonna bore them to death, Steve. If you want something more worth your buck, there’s a club not too far that I’m sure you and your friends will enjoy.”
“Both sound great! Let me just check in with my friends to see which they’ll prefer. Or if you want to come along as well and get the introductions over with, we can do that too.” You said sweetly, praying that they would agree to it.

IT WAS NOW EVENING, the sun dipping below the horizon kissing the ocean goodbye, the sky a purplish-orange color adorn with a few grey clouds as Huracan and you were still outside enjoying the last bits of the day before it was time to go back in.
You had came to term with the fact that Huracan staying with you was only going to be momentarily. You grew attached to the child due to the loneliness that you felt from staying by herself for months in isolation, away from others due to your health issues.
You wondered if Huracan was also lonely and just wanted some company but your mind now questioning if Huracan has a family, what if they are waiting for him? Worried about him and in search of him, thinking of the worst things that could have happened to him. This left you to ruminate over
your thoughts as your gaze fall on the sky, that is becoming darker and darker.
There was thunder clouds looming above you due to the hot weather you experienced today, the clouds were forming and becoming aggravated with each second that passed by— this alarming you as you walk back to the tidal pool to retrieve Huracan and putting a stop to your fleeting thoughts.
"C'mon, Hura. We need to get back in." You say, watching as the boy breaks through the surface of the water— eyes sparkling with life as he listens to you instantly, emerging from the pool only to latch onto your arm, his skin turning back into a shade of blue as you both walk home.
The rain came down. It suddenly came down heavy causing you to gasp in shock when the harsh rain pelted down onto you, you turn towards Huracan to notice that he had his eyes closed— enjoying the rain water that got soaked into his skin while you on the other hand felt a shiver tingling down your spine even though the air was warm.
Knowing that if you had to stay in the rain for way too long— you would definitely get sick but watching the boy enjoy the fresh water that falls onto him , you decided to wait a few minutes because seeing his face brighten up from just the simple feeling of rain water against his skin made you realize that the simple things in life is what makes living much better, it made you feel at ease with yourself.
A bright flash of purple and then a loud crackling noise followed by a hiss came from above you and Huracan shocks you at the loud noise and the thunderstorm that has finally brewed up, the rain became even heavier causing your heart to beat faster.
"Let's get back inside, we don't want to become fried fish today." You say, laughing at your lame excuse of a joke which Huracan didn't understand fully but he did understand that you wanted to go back inside from the way your body had stiffened slightly.
He was about to agree but then the sight of a shiny, shell that was a bit closer to the ocean water grabs his attention— he wanted to get that shell so that he could give it to you, forgetting that you wanted to go back in as he leaves your side, alarming you as he runs down the bank to go and retrieve the shell.
"Huracan!" You shout out alarmed, the rain pelting down heavily, the sky above you becoming dark— the only source of light now coming from the lighting that viciously flashed from above and the few outside lights from your house.
You slide down the steep slope to get to the boy only for your flip-flop to get stuck into something and in turn crashing into the youngster causing him to also fall and let out a small yelp.
"oh gosh, Hura! I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to!" You cried out, you moved to his side to see that you had slightly bruised his knee cap, crimson escaping from the bruise as guilt consumes you from being so unconscious and not watching where you walked.
Huracan didn't feel much pain from the small bruise, he was about to tell you it's okay but you tore a small part of your shirt to help stop the bleeding. A small amount of blood covered your finger tips when you wrapped the small piece of cloth around his tiny knee cap, tightening the cloth around it.
A throbbing feeling around your ankle became prominent as you gazes down at your leg, to find that you had slightly twisted your ankle due to your flip-flop getting stuck onto something— that being the whole reason you slipped.
A small cry leaves from your parted lips, the thunderstorm viciously going on above them as the rain fell down. Your body was drenched in rain water, making you shiver adding more to the pain you felt in your ankle.
"Y-Y/N!" the young child cried out grasping onto your shoulders, he gazed at you to find that tears were also trailing down your cheeks with the rain water, your hands covered in wet sea sand and dabs of blood.
This made tears to form in Huracan's eyes, he was now scared and worried about you, the person that took care of him like he was their own child— he didn't know what to do to help you, making him feel even more worried and scared as the thunder flashed and rumbled.
Your body that trembled suddenly went stiff, your blood running cold— you felt like you and Huracan were being watched.
You were right.
The sound of something fluttering, similar to the sound of a rattle snake mingled with the harsh noises of the rain, lightning and the waves that crashed close by.
The fluttering sound stops , it suddenly goes eeirely quite, Huracan's whimpers go silent and before you could comprehend whether you was just feeling paranoid —something grasped the collar of the shirt you wore and pulled you harshly away from Huracan, throwing you to the other side away from him.
You heard Huracan scream your name out, your body feeling extremly numb, the world around you spinning while terror sunk into every firbe of your being.
Your neck twists to the side to see what had thrown you so viciously away from Huracan, fear laminating in your eyes, your gaze being met with the tip of a sharp spear, your body flinching away from it in terror but it was now pressed against the side of your neck in a threatening manner to slice your head off clean.
The lightning struck again, giving you a better vision of what was being hostile towards you , your eyes widening when your gaze falls on a man— his entire being radiate regality from the way his body oozed confidence to the jewelry that was adorn upon him. His chest covered in some sort of metal that was beautiful crafted, the same type of metal also adorning his biceps and wrists.
She also noticed that he had pointed ears, adorn with jewels just like the rest of him.
You shakily raise your hands, to say you was no threat or harm but this act seemed to make the man even more infuriated when he spotted dabs of blood smeared on your finger tips and then seeing blood around the area where Huracan was.
"How dare you take my son away and harm him?"
Shit. Was the first thought that came to your mind, you was right, Huracan did have someone to go back to— your thoughts being cut short when the cold tip of the spear pressed even closer to your neck that you could feel the pressure tearing slightly into your skin.
Your words were stuck in your throat from fear, you couldn't formulate a response except for a shaky breath to escape past your lips, your body trembling from pain and fear.
Due to your lack of response that made the King even more agitated, his spear was about to press into the side of your neck but tiny hands wrapped around his arm, holding it in place before he could slash at you.
"Father, please don't!" the young child cried out in his own language, this alerting the king who turns towards his son— the furious look that had adorn his face moments ago was replaced by one that was filled with worry.
"Huracan, my child. Are you alright? Did it hurt you?" his voice venomous when he says the word it , you didn't understand what they were saying but from the side glare the man had passed to you, you knew he had said something about you.
"No! Do not bring harm to y/n, she had saved me! Please do not harm her, she didn't do anything wrong. If you want to punish someone, father— it should be me, I should have never left Talokan." The boy sobs out, hearing Huracan's broken voice made your chest hurt— your eyes squeezing shut to prevent any tears from escaping as everything around you started to spin, the world around you becoming blurry as all the pain you felt physically and emotionally became blunt.
Your vision being filled with black dots that became larger until your eyes closed completely, body slumping into the sand— the fear you felt along with the pain made you fall unconscious this grabbing Huracan's attention, the boy letting go of his father's arm to rush towards you.
A cry leaves past his parted lips, his hands reached out to hug your cold body against his.
"Look what you have done, father. You killed her!" The boy says inbetween sobs, you was far from dead but to Huracan seeing your still body, no warm smile on your face and your eyes that twinkled with care and affection was no longer there— you looked dead to him.
K'uk'ulkan looked down at you. His son held onto you so gently, the rain easing down — the thunderstorm slowly clearing up.
"Hura.. she's not dead." The king says while his inner voice says 'well not yet'. He didn't trust you, this human but the way his son held onto you like his own life depended on you— he could not just kill you after he found out you had saved his son.
"You have to help her then or else I'll hate you forever." Huracan suddenly spat out— eyes shining bright with anger and saddness, his words stung K'uk'ulkan , his heart aching at the words his son spewed at him. An expression of hurt forms on K'uk'ulkan's face, a soft sigh leaving past his lips.
He glances down at your unconscious form that laid on the sand, his son's words floating around in his mind. He bends down towards you, taking in your features— noticing your skin has gotten paler and your ankle was swelling.
He was not keen on helping you, a surface dweller, he had hate for these disparage creatures but seeing how his son has become attached to you, clinging. He couldn't just kill you.
With one last glance towards your unconscious body, he looks back towards the raging ocean as he signals for Namora to come to him. He turns away and looks down at his son, his heart softening when he sees the tears on his cheeks as he sighs lightly.
'I'm only doing this for you my child.'
PART 5
Pairing: (Professor) Loki Laufeyson x Female Reader (College Student)
Warnings: Vague horror mentions, SFW. Words: 2911
Tropes: A doplergnager of someone you know...A string of unexplained deaths and on top of that things are going missing from your apartment.
A/N: 🤪 Inspired hugely from a childhood Japanese horror (?) Romance movie that ws titled Dooplergnager!! #no beta, no editing. My first MCU FIC. Sadly I can't find it on YouTube and I lost the CD, if anyone can find it-- the movie goes like this without any gore. An office girl (I think) lives alone at home, uses charcoal to draw on a canvas and is thinking of entering a museum's art contest... but is so indecisive, and suddenly the door bell rang, she goes to see who it is and sees its a blind guy who idk is asking if it's the right address or smth. She says no and he goes away. ... Boom from one floor beneath her apartment, at the same location as her door, another her appears... her dooplerganger-- who does what she was indecisive about, draws, enters the art contest, basically this whole movie is some detective supernatural thing where a detective discovers that some ppl jump off buildings after seeing their dooplergangers achieve better than them. Sooooo ;) this is not an original idea, just wanna honour this movie.

Clap.
"Listen here. If nobody takes this Friday exam seriously, I'll have Mr. Laufeyson take over all my classes for the rest of the week." Lightheartedly said Thor, his wide voice overpowering the whole classroom, grinning in playful triumph, yet the threat was very real.
Groans and moans—some boos here and there—fill out the jam-packed classroom, ranging from zombie-tired to actual fear responses. My reaction lied delicately, balancing on the tightrope of both dread and hope, but my heart twisted in excitement.
Among the chorus of complaints, chatter, and chairs shrieking surrounding me, I took my sweet time filing and packing my things, which were not so neat. Class ended on a very motivational note. . . .
Professor Thor's brother was not one most students willingly paid a visit to after-hours, unlike the other teachers, and looking for him without a purpose in academic advice is as pointless as buying rope from a camel.
His striking slim features, like his most prominent and popular emerald gems for eyes and boney face, take a stand in attracting many to sign up for his courses. I so happened to be one of the lucky few who didn't check the profiles of the teachers and allowed that to influence my decision-making.
Beauty is always deceiving.
And it never fails to be so entertaining to watch from the back rows when another person rage-quits, abruptly leaves in the middle of his teaching, or slumps defeatedly in their seats each and every week. It never stopped Mr. Laufeyson from carrying on the lesson—not even when a wasp flew in by mistake and terrorised the class while he didn't bat an eye.
Until it went after him, he took immediate action, swatting it hard against the wall with a ruler.
He froze.
Holding that fatal position, he rotated his head towards me—I meant, the class obviously.
"Now, any questions? And if there are, you best make it good; otherwise, you'd like your future grade to fall from a height." He removes the ruler, revealing a flattened wasp slowly unsticking itself from the wall and plummeting down with a comically weak buzz.
Then silence.
"Just like that."
I held back from laughing, except for a tiny chuckle joining the other students'. Sucking in the bottom of my lip, I focused on the assignment on my laptop while keeping an active ear for any tidbits of information from him. I really liked his humorous side. But there was something else about him that I loved.
…RING.
There went the bell, and class was dismissed. Mr. Laufeyson, with a smooth ease, was the first to leave, and the others and I stalled to watch him before following suit in hushed giggles.
"—ho! Just now, that got me feeling some type of way."
Another girl low moaned, "I'm melting like an ice cream in the sun."
"I wish he used that ruler on me instead."
Mmhmm.
Mr Laufeyson's back disappeared after a sharp turn, he's never in the cafeteria during lunch breaks but in a way what a relief he won't ever see the dumb side of me. Not that he sees me as anything else except a student.
But it will change.
Thankfully graduation was right around the corner… By then I'll have a chance to ask him out properly. Maybe buy him some flowers? As a farewell appreciation gift.
. . .
"I heard you used my name again to scare the children," Loki piqued, hands studiously behind his back as he approached the sun-lit kitchen.
His brother, shining blonde tied-back hair, grins wolfishly after downing a beer can and tossing it in the trash, making it over to Loki.
"Relax, it's just a joke, brother!" Thor let out a boisterous laugh, smacking a large hand on Loki's shoulder and causing him to slightly flinch. "College kids need the motivation. A kick of adrenaline, am I right?"
"More work that is unnecessary doesn't sound very funny to me. I will not be babysitting your class again after last time, a word of warning."
"Oh come on now, you have a knack for torturing students to greatness— and I can supply you with as many peoplee as you wish. Just say the word!—"
Loki's unamusement showed in his thin smile and poise stance.
"—Don't think I've seen the way you've been holding yourself back from having fun these days." He winked, walking off with a whistle in the direction of his study.
Loki didn't think it was obvious but of course his brother noticed his recent shift in behavior, more avoidance. But like all things in life, it would soon pass. It has to. And it will.
The root of his avoidance would graduate soon enough next month. He'll just have to exercise more patience and wait it out.
. . .
Friday nights are always the best to rewind and treat myself to fast food on the couch. It's fun to pretend that there's 3 days in the weekend.
Time to imagine the handsome actor in the Notebook as Mr Laufeyson.
"Sorry, can't join you tonight girl. I got a 2nd date with Taro!" Juliet whooped excitedly, pumping a fist towards the ceiling as she one-handedly strapped on her glittery heels with urgency.
I waved weakly at her bursting enthusiasm, smiling hard and happy for her. "Goodluck—"
The door slammed in my face, faint clip-clops of her heels muffled away into the buzzing night, and the disappointment of my ruined plans reflecting off the smooth rogue-wood.
Welp and there goes movie-night with my bestie roommate… Now I've got the whole place to myself, wowie, nice. Time for some self-care.
Was what I thought before accidentally falling asleep in the middle of a firework love confession scene on the big screen, an empty bag of popcorn kernels laying at the foot of the couch I slouched on. As I finally snored myself awake, a series of insistent knuckle-punching came from the door, louder than the TV audio.
BANG. BANG. BANG.
That is so unlike the bubbly optimistic Juliet I know, she wouldn't be coming home until… I patted around me for my phone and checked the time.
9:00 PM.
Yep. It's far too early.
Instantly I sat up straight, unblinking, eyeing the front door with a tight clutch on my phone. No way is Juliet even close to retiring from her date, ever. No one is supposed to be here and not at this time.
BANG. BANG.
Step by cautious step, I neared the door and tiptoed to peer out of the peephole at what–or–who was causing the commotion. My phone at the ready to call the cops.
BANG.
A mop of slick black hair blocked the majority of my sight: as if this person was leaning forwards, face-first, into the door like he was either trying to hide his identity or didn't know how doors work. Since usually people wouldn't be standing so absurdly close against a door with knowing the possibility of it hitting them.
Or this is a drunk idiot who wondered off from one of the other houses. An uncommon occurence but happens.
BANG—
"Stop!" I shouted, my free hand taking hold of the doorknob firm and full of annoyance. Ready to give this possible-drunk a piece of my mind.
The person listened then a soft, almost feverent breathing came through the wood after hearing my voice. Are they drunk and sick? Not the first time seeing this terrible combo.
"Please take a step back!" I warned the person on the other side and swung the door wide open in a rush of concern.
My unsuspecting self, dumbfoundedly, receiving the best shock of my life. It was a man. I knew.
"Well," glimmered a pair of deep green gem-like eyes once settling in my face. Upclose and too personal. "Hello, my darling. It's been too long."
That infamous silky voice that slithers into anyone's consciousness for days. Belonging to non other but my– I mean, that man.
My vocal cords decided to stop functioning without my consent. "H…"
Almost all of my vocabulary disappeared from my brain the second I fully registered the familiar handsome face in my head. His petal-thin lips parted while my jaw hung as we both looked at each other in a mutual deadlock.
"M– Mr Laufeyson?" My tongue muscle memory took over.
He nodded curtly in confirming his identity, still staring wide-eyed at me as if drinking me in like a new sight to behold.
Wait he shouldn't be here. I wasn't hallucinating this hard, right.
There was no reasonable explanation as to why I could be hallucinating without a drop of alcohol in my system. Unless he stalked me, which is impossible to imagine the busy man ever doing, even pondering it, to me of all people.
Hah. I wish.
But lo and behold it was him, genuinely in the flesh, smiling the most biggest white-teethed smile I've seen.
"May I come in, please. Darling?"
In where? In what?
Trying to make sense of the current reality standing infront of me, hoping this wasn't a prank.
"Why are you here… Sir." I intoned, politely, darting my eyes around him at the dark corners suspiciously. This wasn't some graduation prank right, I secretly hoped it wasn't.
"Why?" A, very nice sounding, humourous chuckle ripples from him before he continued.
"How could I not pay a visit to my most brilliant student? I would regret it for as long as I live." He said it extremely convincing as if it was normal to show up out of the blue at my house in the middle of the night.
"Right. Um, please come in."
I beckoned him in with an instinctual welcoming smile, holding back the urge to tidy my no-doubt ratty appearence and adjust my clothes as he entered.
Brushing his whole arm against mine, on accident I think, but he didn't seem to notice, too focused on removing his shining boots.
Nervously, I closed the door behind him while deeply breathing in the faint passing of his leafy cologne. My mind long forgetting if I should've let him inside.
I tersely said, ignoring the happy booming in my heart, and gestured to the gray couch. Hoping he wouldn't notice the tiniest shade of darker gray, the imprint of where I lazed earlier.
"Please, sir, make yourself at home."
"Oh, I planned to." Mr Laufeyson winked uncharacteristically, smoothly shrugging his coat off him and folding it over the armrest– where I laid my head earlier– casually. One of his hands had a purplish-dark marking across the skin, must've been from him knocking something.
"Thank you, darling."
"No problemo." That was not a cool response at all. Internally I cringed at myself while mentally noting to get him a bandage for his hand injury.
It took much willpower not to lose control of my eyeballs from running down the rare sight of him in only his white button-up while feeling his intense emerald gaze all over me.
Juliet is not going to believe this.
Alright, I'm going to be a good host. And only that. He probably wants to ask about what career path I'm choosing or something, so hold back.
I cleared my throat, meeting with his eyes.
"Sir, would you like some tea or coffee?" And maybe stay longer.
"From you? Anything will do."
. . .
Crackles of laughter sitting together on the couch, his arm draped over the back of the cushion behind my head, silly banter over past lessons he taught, tiny tidbits of his favourite things and color (as I suspected was green) proven correct. We share more things in common than I had thought.
Who knew I'd be the lucky one to be graced with getting personal with Mr Laufeyson.
1:10 AM.
In a blink of an eye, time seemed to skip over and the hour hand crossed midnight. Even though I felt no ounce of drowsiness— it wouldn't be appropriate to let him get caught by my roommate. This wasn't exactly all that inappropriate too, we only talked.
"Sir, it's getting very late. I'm sure you have another student to visit tomorrow or something," I tried to sound casual with mild contact, genuinely smiley, and not at all like I was pushing him to get the hint.
His emerald eyes flashed understanding as he gave a relaxed smile, getting up from the couch slightly slow. "I'd hate to overstay my welcome and have you lose your beauty sleep."
I chuckled and copied his action while he collected his coat, his slim fingers fiddling with the buttons almost mindlessly. It was a rare sight to see Mr Laufeyson act… Nervous? Maybe, that would be funny to imagine but he must be feeling discourteous for accidentally not watching the time slip by.
I know I would.
"Oh and dear."
My gaze instantly flicked up to his already on me. "Don't think for one second I could ever forget you," he closed the distance between our bodies and said my name so intimately. Leaning in, tilting his head, my heart a combustion of excitement, as his eyes shut and he left a peck on my cheek.
The signals were green. He was giving all the right signals and I'd be a fool not to go for it. Just not right now.
I muffled my own giggle, leading him to the door as I held it wide open for him. "Thanks for stopping by, Mr Laufeyson. It means a lot to me." More than he could ever know. If only he could stay longer but that would be a huge violation to my roommate's trust. Darn it.
"As it is for me."
He softly smiled, taking his sweet time to walk down the small steps. Glancing back at me twice.
He left without a hurry into the swallowing darkness where the streetlights lacked reach, and I continued staring out the peephole long after his ghostly tall figure lost itself in a concerning direction. Only alleyways and deadends there.
But I shouldn't be too worried, he looked like he knows where to go.
Tik. Tok.
Tik tok.
It felt like an eternity wishing for Monday to arrive quicker, my nerves aflamed for the entire weekend as I picked out cute outfits in advance. Surely he'd appreciate a different look from me, I couldn't wait to see his face again.
—RING.
. . .
Back to class. Here we go!
For once throughout my college days, I woke up an extra hour before my alarm and prepped an all natural make-up look. Taking special care to choose a flattering outfit and spritzing all over myself with my favourite scent until I knew I would be a walking cloud of sweetness. Hopefully something to be remembered by.
Out the door I went after leaving some waffles for Juliet's breakfast. Way too early but it was worth it.
"—Right, let's continue where we left off before another bee decides to steal the thunder and my job. All at once." Mr Laufeyson placed away the long ruler responsible for last week's insect death, I noted that he was wearing the same coat from coming over last friday, as a round of chuckles and soft giggles in the mix, erupted at his words.
Mr Laufeyson was putting extra work into being humorous today of all days or his mood improved positively better... Possibly because of me. Because of last Friday night. Or I was getting too ahead of myself when he could've easily paid a visit to the others. Right, he's just being a good concerned teacher. As always...
Class went on like normally. And he didn't even glance at me.
. . . The hour had passed.
Hoping for the littlest of interaction after class, I sprinted the steps down to the front of the classroom. Ahead of anyone else. "Mr Laufeyson!"
Once I stepped around the desk to properly stand before him, a perky excitement in my every movement to be upclose to him again. My expectations of mildly receiving a smile from him was shattered the second he angled his face towards me, his stiff folders collected under an arm.
"What."
Mr Laufeyson said harshly, "—exactly do you want? My time is limited. My email is on the Google classroom, you can easily find it online to contact me. However If it's a matter you believe is urgent, see me in my office after school hours immediately."
Not expecting this... Kind of standoffish tone.
I deflated under the scrutiny of his sharp green eyes and downturned pink lips, hopes of my outfit and being noticed stomped by his quiet impatience and unusual agitation. Right, we were still in school. Why did I choose such bad timing to talk to him.
Too eager, I must've came across as desperate. Yikes.
"Okay, sir. Thanks," I gave a weak smile as he spun to leave swiftly.
Probably not hearing me in the midst of everyone else's small chatter joining the outside noise as I adjusted the strap of my bag on my shoulder. Heart heavy but I survived.
His change in attitude was unexpected but not unwelcome. The iciness of it. A telltale sign that something or someone had bothered him. By the troubled ook of his deepened wrinkles, I guessed it must be recent— An hour or few ago, maybe— his stiff body language told me it's a personal matter.
Either I was deducing nonsense or being a kick of delusional away from acting on my deepest urge to confess my feelings.
How could I even help him?
