just scratched something cute.
so, i've got a lot of content with my new character, which i ordered as a custom, so i’m urgently starting an acquaintance. this character means a lot to me, i sublimated a lot of my insides here, so i hope for a warm welcome for him from you, my viewers.
⬆️ here's art that i've got as a custom design and the other sketches are mine.
the man’s name is Mekong, he is a humanoid, i can even say, a monster, that lives in the capital hex in a spacious apartment with his two sons. works, most likely, together with all the characters in the company, but is not an agent, just an office worker.
his character will be difficult to describe... at first glance, an ordinary sociable, hardworking, polite and decent citizen, always ready to lend a helping hand. most of this is true, but in reality Mekong is psychopathic and cynical person, with low empathy, delusions of control, good at pretending to be “normal”, even rather “ideal”. in his head there is another world, unexplored and invisible to anyone except him, a world that he has learned to hide from others eyes.
on the last pictures – his youngest son, still unnamed (options are welcome in the comments). their relationship is normal, in some cases even good, as much as possible with a psychopathic father. the boy adapted well to his father’s strictness and other conditions, which cannot be said about the second child, but more on that later.

god, i wanted to show you this thing so much, but it's so hard to write about it... still i'm starting.
the picture shows hexare, where people first discovered an intelligent race of humanoid creatures of an abnormal type (i.e., not obeying the laws of human sciences). these creatures are the ancestors of Anatoly and Lia Shouping and are also in the bloodline of some other characters.
now more about the hexar itself.
it's an anomalous world, a huge immeasurable expanse of endless green fields with a visible but unattainable (according to the current state of research) boundary as a barely noticeable mountain landscape. the dimension does not have reliable natural identification marks, all flora, fauna and other objects are usually found at a great distance from each other, inexplicably spontaneously change their location, may appear and disappear.
the first research expeditions in this world were quite chaotic, there were cases when the staff simply got lost among the green fields, which greatly delayed the development process. and still, people were extremely interested in this place, not only scientists and the government, but also ordinary citizens.
fun fact: adherents of the ancient human religion immediately named this hexare as "the Garden of Eden" not only because of the eternally perfect weather, flowering vegetation and external serenity, but also because of the striking features of local humanoid creatures resembling the "ideal people" described in the sacred books.
and thats all! i wanted to write more about these very creatures, Tosha's ancestors, but i still have very little concrete material on this, later maybe. i will be very grateful to any feedback! i need it, because i spend a lot of energy on drawings and these information articles.
i got a new OC. i haven't bought new characters in my settings for a very long time, and so i became very picky about the designs i'm going to develop. but this adoptable won me over, it was love at first sight.

has is no name yet, but there is a supposed place in the setting: the watchman of the endless house*.
*the endless house is a normal-sized concrete structure on the outside and a huge space without a ceiling, with a lot of stairs and doors inside. one of the known and partially explored anomalous spaces.

it was hard after an unsuccessful attempt to sit down to write this again, but i need this. sad things is on topic today.
Tolya's childhood can be called quite happy and even carefree. his parents loved him and protected him, but, of course, they could not protect him from everything. Tosha's socialization during elementary school was particularly difficult, he was very different from other (especially human) children. and yet, he hardly felt any attention from them, which could not be said about the teachers, whom he always offended with his psychopathic self-willed behavior. nevertheless, he studied well and had no hard problems until a certain point: the class teacher was replaced by a new one and then the situation changed dramatically. the new teacher's attention to Tolya and the other children was different – it was sick, poisonous. she called the students "her children" and the school "their second home". everyone liked her except Tosha and some other students. she often scolded and punished him and the others. she seemed to "love" him especially. she allowed herself a lot in relation to him.
Tosha's academic performance declined significantly during that period, he often began to refuse to go to school and this could not go unnoticed. eventually, his father found out about everything and immediately went to investigate in person. after a while, the teacher was fired and a couple of articles on the web were even devoted to this case. and Tolya has been home-schooled ever since.
it's been years since then. Anatoly already become an adult conscious person, coped with a lot of problems, but there is one, difficult and complex, that haunts him to this day.
intimacy is hard for him, especially sexual ones, although he himself is not yet able to realize it. and yet he still allows others to break his boundaries, to do whatever they want with his body. grab, push, "love"... after all, he's a psychopath, this means nothing to him. no one feel sorry for someone like him. who can even hurt someone like him.

finally. it is time to tell you a very interesting story.
an important info before i'll start the main part. Toshio's parents also work in this company, his father holds one of the highest positions, being the manager of several departments.
in the post about Toshi, i mentioned a special case after which he was demoted. i'll start from afar: mr. Shouping is a highly qualified employee, which means that in a position corresponding to his status, he is assigned more serious tasks that require perfect training and other special skills. in addition to the usual errands, he could also negotiate and represent the interests of the company.
just such negotiations were supposed to take place in one of the dimensions, which had already earned a bad name for itself due to the aggressiveness of the locals. Toshio knew what he was getting into; a group of three highly qualified employees (including him) and security guards were prepared for the visit. no one suspected how this peaceful meeting would end.
the conversation with the current head of state was conducted with due professionalism without any suspicious details and, unfortunately, none of those company employees could react in time when the fire suddenly opened right in the meeting room. these were clear and well–practiced actions: the guards were eliminated almost immediately, three agents were knocked out by an unknown weapon. after awakening they were interrogated and severely tortured, from which two of the agents died soon. Toshio, in terrible agony, remained alive because of his powerful regeneration; he spent more than 20 hours of continuous torture in consciousness - the soldiers of the state supported him in this state until Toshio was no longer able to scream.
after a while, he managed to leave the ill-fated fortress. he wasn't pursued, he walked forward through the snow-covered rocky terrain without any of identification marks, until he was found by a reinforcement group sent by his father personally. Toshio was taken to the complex, where he was greeted by shocked parents. needless to say, it was a shock not only for them, but also for the department, for the whole company, and soon for the top. in such a feral state, Shouping could not provide any information and a few hours later, after an examination and medical care, his parents decided to extract a piece of memory from his head and seal the remnants of the traumatic experience to prevent serious consequences.
being afraid of waking up those memories, Toshio's father transferred him to a controlled department and demoted him to assistant commander. the agent himself was not very happy about this, but he accepted it and got used to his new responsibilities. the memories of those events are sleeping soundly somewhere deep in his mind.
that's it! music that i mentioned helped me so much with this work. it's so hard to decide to realize such grandiose ideas, but i did it and i'm proud of myself. i think music will always accompany me in my work. it awakens some incredible powers and emotions in me.
