Something I noticed while rereading Scythe is how much incredible technology is just kind of not noted or in the background besides revival and corner turning. One example is how the incredible nanites aren’t talked about a lot but are amazing or how by the sounds of it they have holographic projectors and weather manipulation that just isn’t really discussed.

This one is a tad older, from 2 years ago & a commission I did for my girlfriend. It's her character, which I enjoyed drawing a lot! The pose and general composition was fun to do and I powered through this entire thing in a few hours due to my huge motivation. Maybe someday, I'll do something similar again!
I felt like designing the four horseman, so this is the first I have done, Death. (I know I’m starting with the last one, but I was really happy with the design so here it is)

fandomtober day THIRTEEEEEN (yes i missed 5 days in a row, exams are fun) today is AOAS!!! I really had no idea what to do for this one because theres so many moments in AOAS i'd love to draw, but I settled on doing greyson because @spl-central compiled a REALLY great post with all of greysons character descriptors, and I owe it to spl to finally draw him! I will do a proper greyson ref sheet eventually, but I have so many projects I'm doing simultaneously that it'll probably be awhile until i get to it :,)

btw to all my scythe fans, heres a WIP of the goddard ref i was doing. I promise I didn't give up on them, im just a very.. VERY slow artist LOL (and also school has been kicking my ass, as usual)
anyways go stream fionna and cake rn. only two episodes in and I'm in love with it
ref sheets for citra and rowan! I know that their outfits change periodically throughout the books, so I just tried to keep this ref sheet as their most iconic, general appearance. That's also what I'll be doing for most characters moving forward.
Anyways, the next batch of designs I plan on doing is Goddard's little group (as per request of @scottishgremlin, since they wanted to see scythe rand!)
working on some basic ref sheet stuff! @nealshustermanreal shoutout because i'm so happy I didn't have to come up with my own logo LOL
Speaking of which, from here on out, for designs that aren't explicitly stated in the book: I'll be making my own designs. You can already see that in the rings! While we do know that the rings are gold, the actual design itself is unknown. I tried my best to make the rings look chunky, because I'm sure that if there was actual technology in there, it'd be hard to fit inside a tiny ring (plus, those diamonds are HUGE. The size of Faraday's KNUCKLE?! The Scythedom is RICH rich)
Also, for designs that contradict the book, they'll be ignored. The Scythe book trailer, for example, shows the rings being silver with a cyan diamond. That directly contradicts what's said in the book, so it'll be ignored for now!

i'm trying to go for a more realistic approach with my style. I think it turned out pretty well, but please tell me if you have critique! also, if there's requests for specific scythe characters to do next (see my last post for context) then lmk!
Question for Scythe fans: Anybody have specific page numbers for character descriptions? This question applies to Scythe, Thunderhead, Toll and Gleanings (although if you talk about Gleanings, pls keep it spoiler free- i havent read it yet!)
I ask this because I'm trying to make a drawing of each notable character from the series. I'll do less notable characters too if I don't lose motivation, lol.
On my drawings I want to cite the pages where their descriptions are included, but unfortunately, I didn't mark the pages as I was reading. I'm trying to go through the book right now, but it's mostly skim reading since I don't want to reread the ENTIRE book. Any help finding descriptions would be greatly appreciated!!
