Hear me out-

A Muppet’s Midsummer Night’s Dream

Theseus, Hippolyta, Lysander, Hermia, Helena and Demetrius are all esteemed Shakespearean actors who keep to the original script, whilst all the fairies and some of the mechanicals are muppets muppeting about with the occasional soliloquy.

I present to you my vision:

Gonzo as Oberon

Hear Me Out-

Believe me when I tell you Gonzo has RANGE. I think his background as an alien will help him embody the more mystical elements of Oberon and we know from his performance as the narrator in a Muppets Christmas Carol he’s a natural leading man.

Rizzo as Puck

Hear Me Out-

Name a more iconic duo than Gonzo and Rizzo the rat? You can’t- of course you fucking can’t. Their chemistry is off the charts, celestial dare I say, platonic soulmates the like of which us mere mortals cannot comprehend. On top of the incredible back and forth they’ll bring to Oberon and Puck, Rizzo has a sense of mischief and is just the right amount of a whimsy can’t do nothing right boy to bring a really endearing vision of Puck to the stage.

Miss Piggy as Titania

Hear Me Out-

Is it controversial to pair up Miss Piggy with someone who’s not her usual leading man? Sure, but bear with me I have a vision. Oberon and Titania are at odds for most of the play and I can definitely see a world in which Miss Piggy beats his ass in front of all the other fairies. Also the role of a glamorous ethereal queen? Are you kidding? Miss Piggy is going to body this role heart and soul.

Kermit as Bottom

Hear Me Out-

Remember when I told you to bear with me? I would never break up a duo like Kermit and his beloved Miss Piggy, are you mad? Bottom and Titania spend the whole play smooching and mucking about with the fairies, not only do these two have the chemistry but it also gives Miss Piggy a chance to serenade her beloved Kermie. The casting also works on a meta level with Kermit playing an over ambitious actor somewhat hemmed in by an eccentric troupe. The only question is with the iconic transformation scene, do we cast a human actor who turns into Kermit, or do we just have regular ole Kermit with some donkey ears? I need the thoughts of the public desperately.

The Mechanicals:

Fozzie Bear as Snug

Hear Me Out-

Waka, waka

Beaker as Francis Flute

Hear Me Out-

Literally his worst nightmare is playing Thisbe.

Pepe the Prawn as Robin Starveling

Hear Me Out-

Just a weird lil guy pretending to be moonlight

Bunsen as Tom Snout

Hear Me Out-

Tom Snouts a tinker- plus he can do Pyramus and Thisbe’s special effects

Scooter as Peter Quince

Hear Me Out-

Typical theatre manager energy.

The Fairies:

The Chickens as Titania’s Attendants

Hear Me Out-

To be honest I can see the Henson company making a lot of cool original puppets for the fairies but you can’t have the muppets without some dancing chickens.

Janice and Animal should also get special cameos as Peaseblossom and Mustardseed respectively and naturally Waldorf and Statler show up to heckle Pyramus and Thisbe at the end.

Disney- make it happen

Why is it that my fist crush is Juliet (played by Claire Danes) in the amazon prime 'Romeo and Juliet' movie. You know, the one with Leonardo DiCaprio as Romeo. Like ever since I watched some of that movie in an English lesson, I have been crushing over her sooo hard.

Am i using one of my weirdly seen posts to try and manifest a stupid crossover into existence? Well yes indeed, hear me out: 👐Hangster x Much Ado About Nothing👐

I was watching for the 5665667th time Much Ado about Nothing, and the vibes between Bradley/Jake and Beatrice/Benedick are UNCANNY! Embittered exes who are seeing each other after a considerable time apart and trade sassy barbs without missing a beat every time they share the same space and (as in the general fandom consensus regarding TGM post canon and headcanon) get together thanks to hijinks and the meddling of their friends???? Immaculate, perfect, no notes, chef kiss.

Mind you, i'd never write it, but i would die laughing if i ever see this fanfic out there in the wild.

Microwave (What Else(Poor Yorick)?)  by Levi Robinheart [lyrics]

Microwave (What Else(Poor Yorick)?)  By Levi Robinheart [lyrics]

The only time I lie at peace is when I’m swimmin’ in my lay You kiss me gentle and my heart feels nice she’s got nothing to say I must remiss myself for what the world has given me today Romantic Hamlet for my skull’s become a Microwave

[CHORUS: What else am I supposed to think? Show me what else I can think What else am I supposed to think? Show me what else I can think ]

Hope I don’t lose myself because of how these fists pound on my head We woke up coughin took a walk around the morgue and paid the rent Study-compose and theorize but shoot ‘em out? I don’t see why ‘cause she’ll condole and you’ll say “fine” but you’re still stuck with this guy

[CHORUS]

You keep my quietus my bones are fine my bod-can take a few I know you care-an all but no one needs so I’ll carry-on with you A cigarette without the taste If I can’t digest I just chew A radon test A flashing light Don’t tell me we’re just like you?

[CHORUS]

I kick it over all the time Well I can train it if I try An early bed but still no sign of progressing past the web-foot line Department expiration lights They see me staring at the tide And Paris baby wants a ride I know she can’t be far behind

Ad verse effects

A friend of mine once told me that "poetry makes him feel ill". Some of the more common conditions like influe-stanza and Janedice or Poe-mentation of the skin are well known but here is a selection of some poetic ailments and injuries that really meter to people.

Tennyson Elbow-

Byron any further injury, this should sort itself out in no time. Kipling Arthritis- A Rud-Yard stick for every other condition one might face Ben(t) Jonson- It can happen to every man and not in his humerus. Will...em...Shakes Appear?- Carry a medical Bard on your person at all times

Robert Frost-bite - The Road Not Prescribed.

Walt Whiplash- Mobility is the soul of Whit

Plath feet When feet get Hughes and swollen.

Auden-iometry trouble W.H.at are you saying to me??

Severe Back Twain

When life gives you Clemens, make lemonade.

It's a Pulmonary Symbolism.

"Won't it be easier for you if I just left, my existence causes you such a heartache Romeo, just let me go" said Juliet.

This isn't 16th century, this is not Verona. This is not the same story. But it ends the same for Romeo, by losing Juliet, by dying.

Romeo looked in her eyes for next two minutes, his eyes were full of water, not tears because he wasn't sure if he wanted to cry at this moment, he took a deep breath and said,

"I wish it were that simple my love, I wish you leaving solved it all. If you leave, you will go with a part of me that I would never be able to replace and I will die from inside. And if you stay, that part is going to ache so much, that I'll die anyway. But I'll die a happy man if you stay. I will lose you, I will die, and that's how our story ends and will end everytime my dear."

At this moment, both of their eyes were filled with water, holding hands, staring at each other they came close, Juliet hugged Romeo, and said, " But I won't be able to see you in such pain my love" and she left.

You Are. My Friend

You are. My friend

Today you found out that I can write poetry AND that I study English. A little Macbeth-themed thingy inspired by @two-bees-poetry

Fan fact: because English is not my native language I had to write both columns in the same time, otherwise I won't be able to stick my grammar together.

I Was Reading About Francis Crick And James Watson’s Discovery Of DNA In 1953…and Admiring Santiago’s

I was reading about Francis Crick and James Watson’s discovery of DNA in 1953…and admiring Santiago’s beautiful drawings of neurons…and Alan Hodgkin et Andrew Huxley’s mathematical discovery of calculating how action potentials propagates along a neuron…I couldn’t help but think how romantic it all is. To me it’s so interesting learning about the process of discovery. It’s incredible because all these people were just like us—students. It’s romantic because it’s human—a human experience—an insatiable thirst for knowledge, curiosity that knows no end. A perseverance to succeed. The ultimate quest to generate a novel idea before anyone else does. How can anyone say that science is not poetic? Science is poetry written in a different language, an esoteric one at that. But poetry nonetheless.

Day in the life of a Natural Science academic.

-I am absolutely in love with Santiago Ramon y Cajal and Camillo Golgi. I found it quite fascinating learning about their lives and the influence both had on Modern Neuroscience.

Santiago kind of has my heart because he is everything but the stereotypical idea of a scientist. He actually wanted to become an artist but that went against his father’s wishes and Santiago became quite…the rebel in school. But with time, he was intrigued by histology and proceeded to conducting a lot of research, one of them being neurons and Golgi’s Black Reaction. Santiago was able to illustrate neurons as shown in one of the pictures above. And he improved Golgi’s reaction that was a staining method using (silver nitrate and potassium chromate).
